Choose Your Style

Double Spouts (Spouted): the twin spouts guide espresso straight into two cups — less splashing, cleaner countertop, and more forgiving if your grind or tamp is slightly off. The easy everyday choice.

Bottomless: open bottom with no spouts, so you can watch the espresso flow straight from the basket — the fastest way to spot channeling, uneven distribution or grind issues and improve your technique.

Both styles come in two handle shapes — Teardrop and Cylinder. Pick the style and shape you prefer at purchase.

Why You'll Love It

Compact Short Handle: the shortened handle keeps the portafilter tight and controllable — a closer, more direct grip that suits smaller machines and tighter counter setups.

SGS Certified 304 Stainless Steel: head and basket are 304 stainless steel, SGS certified for food contact safety. Solid wood handle with food-safe wax oil finish — natural, safe and comfortable in the hand.

Two Brewing Styles: choose spouted for clean, splash-free two-cup brewing, or bottomless to watch every extraction and sharpen your puck prep.

Double-Shot Non-Pressurized Basket: comes with a double-shot non-pressurized basket (16-18g) that does not create fake crema — true aroma and crema come from fresh beans and correct technique.

Secure Lock, No Leak: lug dimensions calibrated against original De'Longhi 51mm three-ear portafilters for a tight, wobble-free fit against the gasket.

NEOUZA short handle portafilter wood grain detail

Fill the portafilter with freshly ground coffee → distribute and tamp evenly → lock into the machine → brew and enjoy. With the spouted version you get a clean split into two cups; with the bottomless version you can watch the flow and fine-tune grind, dose and tamp.

With a bottomless portafilter it is normal for liquid to spray or split into multiple streams when the grind is too coarse, the coffee bed has clumps, or the tamp is uneven — this is channeling, not a product defect. Use a WDT tool to break up clumps and tamp evenly.

Quality & Care

Easy to clean: the head and basket are detachable for easy washing — rinse under running water, no hard-to-reach areas.

Wooden handle care: the handle is not painted, only finished with food-grade wood wax oil. Color may naturally fade over time — apply wood wax oil periodically to restore its shine. Do NOT put the wooden handle in a dishwasher or soak it; wipe with a damp cloth and air dry.

FAQ

Q: How do I confirm whether my machine is 3-ear or 2-ear?
Take out the original portafilter and count the metal tabs on the side of the head. 3 tabs = 3-ear (this product fits); 2 tabs = 2-ear (not compatible).

Q: Why does coffee flow unevenly from the two spouts?
Uneven flow is usually related to grind size, dose, distribution, tamping or whether the machine is level — not necessarily a product defect. Keep the dose around 16-18g, distribute and tamp evenly, and check the machine sits level.

Q: After installing, the portafilter locks loosely / leaks / sprays from the side?
First check the machine's gasket for wear or deformation — replace if needed. Then check grind size (too coarse → grind finer), dose (16-18g), distribution and tamp, and whether the portafilter is fully locked. If it persists, contact us.

Q: Coffee sprays or splits into multiple streams during extraction (bottomless)?
Usually a sign of channeling — uneven grind, clumps in the bed, or an uneven tamp. It is not a product defect. Use a WDT tool to break up clumps, then tamp evenly.

Q: Why is there little or no crema?
Crema depends on bean freshness, grind size, extraction pressure and dose. A non-pressurized basket does not create artificial crema — use fresh beans and correct technique.

Q: What dose is the basket?
It is a double-shot non-pressurized basket. Recommended dose 16-18g, adjustable to taste.

Q: How do I clean the portafilter?
Head and basket are detachable — rinse under running water. Wooden handles must NOT go in a dishwasher or be soaked; wipe with a damp cloth and air dry.

Q: My machine model is not listed. Can I use this portafilter?
Most De'Longhi 51mm three-ear machines are compatible. If unsure, contact us before ordering.
